KARACHI, Dec 16: The joint naval exercise of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Naseemal Bahr, concluded with a comprehensive debrief session at the PNS Jauhar on Friday. The vice-chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Admiral Mohammad Haroon, along with the commander of the Saudi Taskforce, Rear Admiral Sami Bin Mansoor Al Rafae attended the session.
In his closing remarks, Vice-Admiral Mohammad Haroon said that the world’s focus was tilting in favour of coalition and joint maritime operations. Pakistan Navy is also following the same policy and holding constant exercises with friendly navies for ensuring stable maritime scenario and maintaining highest professional standards, he added.
Mr Haroon added that the idea behind the exercise was to learn from our mistakes and overcome grey areas as it prepared us for the real operations. In his remarks the commander of the Saudi Taskforce, Rear Admiral Sami Bin Mansoor Al Rafae, said that the exercise in question encompassed all major facets of maritime warfare conducted at a high tempo of operations. He said that the exercise proved to be of great tactical gain for the two navies.—PPI
