KARACHI, Dec 15: Seven ships, including Taisetsu, to load 1,500 tons of fresh fruits and naphtha, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where four ships, Y.M. Star and Hyundai Future, to unload and load containers, Zhong Shan Men, to offload urea, and Koriana, to load naphtha, were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships, which departed included APL Dalian, Kuo Hung, Pacific Express, Jiang Qiang and Elli, while Kota Wijaya, Anjum, Y.M. Star, Thor Spirit, Europena Highway, Federal Kushiro and D.D. Vigor are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 79,233 tons comprising 21,663 tons of export cargo, including 7,693 tons of rice and 57,600 tons of import tonnage was handled. The following ships are due on Friday: Bow Wallaby, with chemicals, Basa Veshwara, to load naphtha, Kota Merdesa, Sagamore, Corin Thaikos, with containers and Iron Butterfly, with general cargo.
