Bugti supports Sindh, NWFP on Kalabagh

Published December 15, 2005

QUETTA, Dec 14: Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti has supported the stand of nationalist parties of Sindh and the NWFP on the Kalabagh issue. Talking to newsmen in Dera Bugti on Wednesday, he said though the controversial dam would neither benefit nor harm the interest of Balochistan, the JWP would openly support the Sindhi and Pukhtun nationalists on the issue.

He said a few years back when the Kalabagh dam issue was raised the JWP and the people of Balochistan had supported the anti-dam groups. Nawab Bugti said the formation of a grand alliance of nationalists in Sindh was a welcome development and would bear positive results.

He stressed the need for unity among the nationalist parties of the three smaller provinces against usurpers.
