Bush senior ‘UN envoy for quake relief’

UNITED NATIONS, Dec 14: UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan is expected to appoint former US president George Bush Sr as his special envoy for Pakistan relief operations, sources told Dawn on Wednesday. The announcement to the effect would be made on Thursday at a special briefing, the sources close to Mr Annan said. Mr Bush senior headed the US relief efforts for tsunami along with former US President Bill Clinton.
