Verdict on poll plea reserved

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, Dec 14: A Balochistan High Court bench on Wednesday reserved its judgement on petitions filed by two candidates who contested the by-polls in BP-12 (Qila Abdullah).

Petitioners Sarwar Khan Piralizai of the Awami National Party and Qahar Khan of the Puktunkhwa Milli Awami Party contested the by-election against each other and claimed that they had won the seat.

In another case, the bench of Justice Akhtar Zaman Malghani and Justice Nadir Khan Durani admitted a petition filed by Fateh Khan Khajak for regular hearing and issued notices to the parties in the case.

The petitioner has challenged inclusion of the Lehri tehsil in Sibi district despite the restoration of the tehsil’s previous district.
