NAWABSHAH, Dec 13: Activists of the Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party staged a demonstration outside the press club on Tuesday in protest against government’s plan to build the Kalabagh dam.

Nisar Keerio, Imran Keerio and Hyder Shah led the protesters who were carrying party flags and chanting slogans against the dam.

They said the people of Sindh had rejected the Kalabagh dam as it was an anti-Sindh project and would destroy it’s economy.

They said the people were united and would never allow General Musharraf to even announce the construction.

They said the conspiracy of Kalabagh dam could separate nations so the government must shelve the project.

They demanded that forces should be withdrawn from educational institutions of Sindh and that the government should reject decision of combined examinations of class-IX and X.

SPSF: The Sindh People’s Students Federation observed a black day in all educational institutions of the city on Tuesday to protest against construction of Kalabagh dam.
