PTCL subscribers face tough time

By Our Correspondent

OKARA, Dec 11: Around 100 telephones have been inoperative for the last more than six months, causing a great deal of inconvenience to subscribers. Reports said a road was being constructed for the last one year in a remote area of Okara Tehsil, about 32 kilometres from here. The company concerned had cut the underground cable providing connection to several villages and farm houses.

The PTCL authorities have failed to replace the cable due to which people have been without the phone facility, though they have to pay the line rent.

The people have demanded that the authorities concerned should take stock of the situation.
