KARACHI, Dec 11: The Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Dr Hamida Khuhro, announced on Sunday that a national book fair would be held in Karachi in the coming summer. Speaking at the reception hosted by the minister at her residence in honour of the publishers, who had arranged the four-day international book fair in Karachi, she said that the proposed national book fair would be organized by the Sindh education department in collaboration with the Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association.

PML Secretary-General Mushahid Hussain, Pakistan Publishers and Booksellers Association Chairman Aziz Khalid, Associations Sindh-Balochistan Zone Chairman Shaikh Arshad Ali, Managing Director Oxford University Press Ameena Syed, Secretary Education Syed Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, Chairman Sindh Textbook Board Prof Aziz Mehranvi and representatives of counsels general of various countries were also present on the occasion.
