KARACHI, Dec 11: The Pakistan Coast Guards, Uthal battalion, arrested two alleged narcotics traffickers and recovered liquor bottles from their possession during a snap checking of a passenger coach between Aghor and Uthal town of Balochistan.
PCG personnel during night patrolling signalled a Karachi-bound coach coming from Gwadar near Aghor. The coach driver tried to flee. However, he was forced to stop the vehicle when another PCG patrolling party came from opposite direction, says a PCG press release on Sunday.
During the checking, the team recovered huge quantity of foreign brand liquor bottles and arrested two occupants Behram s/o Anwar and Asif s/o Rasool Bukhsh. Both the accused are the residents of Turbat.
Meanwhile, PCG Gwadar battalion nabbed 18 illegal immigrants, including nine Bengalis, crossing Pak-Iran border near Kumb.
The arrested persons were handed over to “Special Investigation Wing” for interrogation.
During the last five days, PCG personnel have arrested 44 illegal immigrants. —APP
