KARACHI, Dec 9: A bullet-riddled body of a young man believed to be an associate of Rehman Dakait was found from Gadap on Friday morning. Police said that the body of Khalil, 25, was found from Samoo Goth in Gadap police limits. The victim bore three bullet wounds in the head. The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem examination.

A police official of the Malir Town said that Khalil Ghaffar and Muhammad Yousaf, both believed to be associates of Rehman Dakait, were kidnapped from the limits of Malir City police station a few days back.

Body of Muhammad Yousaf was recovered from Quaidabad police limits on Thursday. Victim’s headless body was recovered from the Saleh Muhammad Goth. He was identified from some papers recovered from his possession, police said.

Meanwhile, representatives of a Trans-Lyari based NGO have expressed concern over “deteriorating crime situation” in the locality, saying that due to the negligence of the police, the whole area has been made hostage by criminals.

They maintained that the government agencies including police had miserably failed to nab the notorious crime gangs operating in Jahanabad area who have made the lives of innocent people miserable.

At a news conference held here on Friday, they said that several youths were killed by the crime mafia and no arrests have been made in the heinous murder cases so far.

The conference was addressed by the office-bearers of the Anjuman Samaji Behbood (ASB) Jahanabad. They included Dost Mohammad Magsi (President), Lal Mohammad Magsi (vice-President) and Pervaiz Magsi (General Secretary).

ASB office-bearers claimed that the crime situation in the locality “is getting from bad to worse day-by-day” and warned that they would have no other option but to hold a protest rally in Islamabad.
