Trader deprived of Rs4 million

RAWALPINDI, Dec 8: Four robbers looted Rs4 million from a trader in the city on Thursday, police and the victim said. Khwaja Adnan Butt along with one of his relatives and driver was returning home in his car when four robbers intercepted the vehicle near the police annexe in Civil Lines and pulled out their pistols.

Khwaja Sabir, the brother of the robbery victim, told Dawn that the robbers grabbed the cash lying in the car and sped away within few minutes.

He said one of his customers running an NGO came to his shop to buy mattresses for the earthquake victims and paid the amount. The trader was taking the money to his home when he was robbed.—Staff Reporter
