HYDERABAD, Dec 8: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has said the government wants to establish a new industrial estate and a five-star hotel in the district to boost the economic activities.

He was speaking at a reception given by the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry at its secretariat in honour of the nazim on Tuesday night.

Mr Jamil said the problems of unemployment and poverty in the district could be solved by accelerating economic activities.

He said he also wanted to restore air service to and from Hyderabad to attract foreign investment.

He said the local government was working to remove encroachments and to improve the traffic system in the district.
