KARACHI, Dec 8: Five ships carrying chemicals, steel and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Y.M. Energy, Hyundai Advance, to unload and load containers, Iran Mahallati, to offload steel, Nememcha, to load rice and Zhong Hai, to offload coal, were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed were led by APL Pusan, African Shark, Ain Oussera, Yu Hsing Maru and Kota Wangi, while Corin Thaikos, Conti Asia, Golden Express and Maria N.M. are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves fell to 75,668 tons from well over 0.1m tons owing to lesser handling of liquid tonnage comprising 17,183 tons of export cargo and 58,485 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Friday: Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Conti Esperance, Sagamore and Ville de Mars, with containers and Thor Spirit, with steel.
