Qualified youths go through the mill

By Our Staff Correspondent

FAISALABAD, Dec 7: Up in arms against financial constraints, nearly 413 jobless youths have applied for six vacant posts of clerical nature in the police department. The applications have been submitted to the office of the Faisalabad DIG police.

Of the 413 applicants, more than 100 are master-degree holders or graduates, though the eligibility was matriculation. The candidates have already appeared in the written test held in the police lines ground while the interview would be held on Dec 10.

Some of the candidates with postgraduate degrees in different disciplines told Dawn that they were forced to file applications for petty jobs owing to financial problems.
