Sindh trounce Islamabad

LAHORE, Dec 6: Three more matches were decided in the 14th national baseball championship on Tuesday. Four runs each by Qambar Ali and Nadeem Zaheer helped Sindh beat Islamabad 23-9 in the first match.

Mohsin Ali and Azeem Zafar with three runs each were the other key scorers for the winners. For the losers, Umar Rabani and Rizwan Abbasi with two runs each were the top scorers.

After a tough fight, NWFP defeated Balochistan 13-12.

For the winners, Abdur Rahman scored four runs while Imran, Ashfaq Ahmad and Shahid added two runs each. For Balochistan, Majeed Ahmed, Mohammad Asad, Naseeb Ahmad scored two runs apiece. Punjab defeated Islamabad 20-10.

Sumair Zwar was the top scorer with four runs while Mohammad Ahsan Beg, Usman Shaukat, Waqas Ismail, Mohammad Umar added two runs each. For Islamabad Adnan Shahzad, Rizwan and Muqqadas chipped in with two runs each.
