India series will be close: Wasim


CHENNAI, Dec 6: Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram predicted that ensuing three-Test series and five One-day Internationals between his country and India would be a close affair and played on slow tracks.

“Pakistan-India matches will be a close series. No matter who wins or loses it will be a close series,” he told reporters here, when asked about Test and ODIs slated to start next month.

On decision taken by Pakistan Cricket Board and Board of Control for Cricket in India to play a series once in two years, he described it as “a good idea. A series every year will ultimately make people bored and lose interest in the game.”—Agencies
