Norway’s PM arrives

ISLAMABAD, Dec 5: Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg of Norway arrived here on a three-day visit to Pakistan for talks on promoting bilateral relations. He was received at the airport by Minister-in-Waiting Ghaus Buksh Mehr, Ambassador of Norway in Pakistan Janis Bjorn Kanavin, and other officials.

The official welcome ceremony will be held on Tuesday afternoon at the PM House, where he will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

Talking to newsmen at the airport, Stoltenberg said a large number of Pakistanis are living in Norway and playing a very active role in its economy.

He said he would also visit earthquake-battered areas. “Norway is supporting Pakistan as much it can,” he added.

The premier is leading a 24-member delegation. —APP
