KARACHI, Dec 5: Six ships carrying steel, general cargo and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where over a dozen vessels were berthed. They are: Royal Crown, to load rice, Manila Bay, Eastern Sea, Thor Captain, Bunga Kenari, Iran Baabaei, Marine Rickmers and Ever Gather, to unload and load containers, Paraskevi-2 and Xiang Rui Men, to unload and load general cargo, New Champion, to unload crude oil, Asian Excelsior, to offload DAP fertiliser, and Manora Naree, to unload iron scrap.
Sailing was also active as Kota Tampan, Sagamore, Wan Hai-265, Manila Bay, Ducky Sovereign, Izola, Wapppen Von Hamburg, Eastern Sea, Bunga Kenari and Weng Borzna departed, while Marine Rickerms, Iran Baabaei, Yannis, Sea Crane, Xanadu, Ever Gather, New Champion, Yang Jiang He and Paraskevi-2 are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.114m tons comprising 25,031 tons of export cargo, including 4,859 tons of rice and 88,709 tons of import cargo, which also included 14,715 tons of DAP fertilizer and 1,639 tons of sugar was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Sinar Bontang, Iran Jahan Ara, Kota Tabah, Corin Thaikos, to unload and load containers, Rickmers New Orleansl, with steel cargo and Sondos, with general cargo.
