KARACHI, Dec 4: The Sindh Minister for Environment, Alternate Energy and Information Technology, Noman Saigol, said that for sustainable development and prosperity of the country promotion of information technology was imperative.

He expressed these views while talking to various delegations in his office, said a statement issued here on Sunday.

The minister said that in the recent times, information technology had emerged as an important field with no boundaries and in order to get maximum benefits from it, great attention and certain measures were needed to be taken for the development of this sector.

He also asked the city government to launch cleanliness campaign in the entire city.

Mr Saigol maintained that the city government must direct its sanitary staff to remove garbage from different spots of the city and dispose it of properly at various landfill sites.

He further advised the people to cooperate with the sanitary staff to keep the city clean and also work for the creation of awareness on cleanliness, among the masses.—APP
