KARACHI, Dec 2: Two persons died in separate road accidents in various parts of the city on Friday. Police said Waqas son of Shaukat was knocked down by a speeding vehicle in Lyari. The wounded was taken to Civil Hospital where he died during treatment.
Police said the errant driver escaped in his car from the spot following the accident.
In another accident, an elderly man died in a hit-and-run accident in Liaquatabad on Friday.
Police said 65-year-old Muhammad Hashim was knocked down by a speeding truck on the main Liaquatabad Road. The victim was crossing the road when he was hit by the speeding vehicle.
Police said the elderly man died before he could be rushed to hospital. Police have sent the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
