Naveed, Yasin hit centuries

LAHORE, Dec 1: A gutsy century by Naveed Ahmad enabled Multan to score 257 against Lahore Shalimar in the National Inter-region under-19 three-day match at LCCA Ground on Thursday. He struck 18 fours in making 107 off 138 balls but did not receive support from the other end as wickets fell in quick succession. As many as eight batsmen could not even cross the figure of 20.

In reply, Lahore Shalimar scored eight for one.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Yasin made 105 while Arsalan Anwar hit 84 to help Sialkot pile up 315 against Faisalabad.

At stumps, Faisalabad were 14 without loss.
