KARACHI, Dec 1: The City Nazim, Syed Mustafa Kamal, on Thursday ordered setting up of a compliant centre where citizens could lodge their complaints regarding the ongoing fumigation drive so that it could be made more effective.

The citizens are appealed to record their complaint regarding the presence of pools of stagnant water where mosquitoes could breed on telephone nos 123 or 9215148-55/Ext 3055.

Special teams, supervised by the district officer, have been deputed in the complaint centre. These teams would be dispatched urgently to the affected areas upon receipt of any compliant and would spray germicides at these sites to ensure the elimination of mosquitoes.

The fumigation drive is being conducted in view of the reported viral infection and hemorrhagic fever.—PPI
