Four jailed by ATC
SUKKUR, Nov 30: The anti-terrorism court-I Sukkur and Larkana on Wednesday sen- tenced four people to 20 years imprisonment and fined them Rs20,000 each for firing on police. According to prosecution on September 14, 2004, TPO and SHO Raunti along with police personnel raided houses of the accused in the kutcha area and the accused attacked the police with rockets and automatic weapons.
Police return fire and the ‘encounter’ lasted an hour after which police managed to arrest all the four accused Nazar Ali, Mehar, Dilawar and Bilawal and seized their arms.—BoC
