Cabinet meets today

ISLAMABAD, Nov 30: The federal cabinet will meet here on Thursday morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in the PM secretariat. The prime minister will apprise the cabinet of his recent visit to Malta and his meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the Commonwealth summit.

He will take the cabinet into confidence regarding opposition’s recommendations and suggestions for the terms of reference of the Parliamentary Committee on earthquake.

The meeting is set to endorse trade agreements with different countries besides reviewing the country’s political situation and discussing national affairs.

Federal Relief Commissioner Maj-Gen Farooq Ahmed will also brief the cabinet on steps being taken to provide relief goods to the quake-stricken people. —Online
