KARACHI, Nov 30: An activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was injured in firing by unknown persons on M.A Jinnah Road on late Tuesday night. Police said Kamran, 30, former sector-in-charge of the MQM’s Ranchore Line area and present member of the unit, was sitting in the Iqbal Market when unknown persons opened fire at him.

He was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where he was admitted in a serious condition. The unknown gunmen fled despite police deployment nearby, eyewitnesses said.

Meanwhile, two human legs were found along a storm-water drain in Korangi on Wednesday.

Police shifted them to the JPMC for examination.

Hospital sources said the legs were three-to-four days old.
