Qasim wins title

KARACHI, Nov 29: Qasim Kamani recorded a straight 4-0 victory over Asim Ghani in the final to clinch Karachi Club open snooker championship at Amir Bakhsh Billiards Hall on Monday.

Kamani started off with a break of 40 points to take the first frame by 77-17. He smashed a superb break of 72 in the second to gain a lead of 2-0 in the match. He did not allow a single point to Asim in the frame winning it 107-00.

Asim, though, committed some errors in the third frame allowing the youngster to make a break of 34, but he was quick to make amends and win it 54-37.

The 4th frame saw a thrilling contest but it was Qasim again who grabbed an edge over his opponent winning the fourth frame 54-50 to seal a 4-0 victory.
