Lankan doctors arrive


RAWALPINDI, Nov 29: A 13-member team of doctors from Rotary Club Sri Lanka has arrived here to treat the quake injured admitted to different hospitals of the city.

The team consists of orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, physicians and paramedical staff. The focus of the doctors will be on treatment of patients suffering from complicated diseases.

President Rotary Club Rawalpindi Dr Mumtaz said in the first stage the team visited District Headquarters Hospital and checked six patients.

They will operate upon these patients on Wednesday. Later, he said, the Sri Lankan doctors would visit other hospitals and treat patients.—Staff Reporter
