KARACHI, Nov 29: Eight ships carrying general cargo, chemicals and loading rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Six ships — Le He and Morning Sun, to unload general cargo and cars, Chem Lily to offload oil, Xanadu, to offload coal and Hanjin Busan and Sekcib to unload and load containers — were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships departed were led by Iran Baluchestan, Sima Tara, Irika, Gant Vision, Erikousa and Morning Sunl, while Pu He, Hanjin Busan, Corin Thaikos, Selcon, Zara-3, PONL Buenos Aires and Chem Lily are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves active where a total tonnage of 70,968 tons comprising 22,823 tons of export cargo, including 4,475 tons of rice and 48,145 tons of import tonnage including 4,435 tons of sugar, was handled.

The following vessels are due on Wednesday: Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Royal Crown, to load 22,500 tons of rice, Eagle Express, Lykes Racer, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Sun, and Manila Bay, with containers, and Fu Niu Shan, with general cargo.
