Two awarded death sentence

CHAKWAL, Nov 28: Additional District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Akram Awan awarded death sentence to Mohammad Irfan and Arshad alias Master for killing two brothers in the year 2003. The convicts were also fined Rs100,000 each. Abdul Rauf and Gulfraz Ahmad were shot dead by the convicts over a land dispute in Saddialee village.

The court also awarded ten-year’s imprisonment to Nadeem Sultan along with a fine of Rs10,000 while Mohammad Afzal was awarded two year’s rigorous imprisonment. The court acquitted Mohammad Usman and Mohammad Basharat by giving them the benefit of doubt.
