Concern over lawlessness

JACOBABAD, Nov 28: The Jamaat-i-Islami has expressed dissatisfaction over deteriorating law and order situation in Sindh. A meeting of the Majlis-i-Shoora of the party held here on Sunday with Dr Mumtaz Ali Memon in the chair noted that murders, kidnappings, thefts, robberies and motorcycles snatching had increased in the province.

The party also criticized the increasing inflation. The meeting observed that there was no plan to control prices.

It said the increase in prices of petroleum had affected common man. Instability in the prices of paddy was also discussed in the meeting.

Mumtaz Hussain Saheto, Dr Mairajul Huda, Abdul Ghafoor Omar, Rashid Naseem, Nasrullah Aziz, Naveed Abdul Baqi and Nawab Mujahid Baloch were present on the occasion.

Sindh JI president Dr Mumtaz Ali Memon said that the party had majority in Sindh but was not given a chance to form government while the party in minority was allowed to form the government.
