Temperature in Quetta drops to -7.2

QUETTA, Nov 28: The people of Quetta experienced the coldest night of the current winter season as temperature dropped to minus 7.2 degree centigrade on Monday. The chilly Siberian winds that started blowing on Sunday hit Quetta and northern and southern parts of Balochistan.

The maximum temperature was recorded 11.3 degree centigrade.

The cold winds disrupted normal life in the city; roads were presenting a deserted look, as most of the people preferred to stay in the their houses. Shopping centres, markets and bazaars closed before their scheduled time due to chilly weather. According to the meteorological department, the cold wave would continue till next 48 hours.
