3 pilgrims shot dead in Iraq

BAGHDAD, Nov 28: Four aid workers — two Canadians, a Briton and an American — were kidnapped in Iraq and three British pilgrims were killed in a bus shooting on Monday in a new surge of violence against foreigners. The three British nationals of Indian origin were killed when a small bus carrying pilgrims came under fire in Baghdad.

Three other pilgrims were injured, along with the Iraqi driver. The pilgrims were travelling to Najaf and Karbala.—AFP
