KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27: Malaysia has pledged to contribute at least $1.2 million for reconstruction efforts in the earthquake-hit areas of Pakistan, news reports said on Sunday.
The money will be used to build houses, schools and orphanages for the survivors Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Pakistan Hashim Hussein told The Star newspaper.
“Whatever construction that is being done now will be earthquake resistant, but we have to look for the proper place to build the houses,” Mr Hashim said.—Online
