PESHAWAR, Nov 27: The All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA) has condemned recent attacks on churches and homes of two priests in Punjab. The APMA organized a rally in front of the press club on Sunday to protest against the attacks.
Carrying placards and banners, the protesters chanted slogans against elements who incited people to attack the churches in Sheikhupura district.
The attacks were allegedly carried out by a group of students belonging to Milad-i-Mustafa.
The protesters demanded that the Punjab government should provide security to minorities and take action against elements responsible for the attacks.
Speakers condemned the attacks and said that the Christian community was feeling insecure.
They said that the provincial government had failed to provide security to minorities and their places of worship.
They demanded a judicial inquiry into the incident.
