By Our Correspondent

SAHIWAL, Nov 27: Mepco has allegedly started two to three hours of unscheduled loadshedding from every feeder of Sahiwal to cover its line losses which have swelled to Rs10 million per month.

Reports said under the scheduled loadshedding programme on Nov 23, the company stopped power supply from Murshadabad, civil lines, Multan Road, Dera Rahim, the city, Kashmir edible oils and Lalazar feeders of 132-KV grid station from 0800 hours to 1430 hours for maintenance.

Later, the Mepco again suspended power supply for two to three hours from the city, Chichawatni, Kassowal, Noorshah and Kamir feeders.

On the other hand, the company has recovered an amount of Rs5.5 million from 6,000 consumers of Sahiwal under the head of detection billing.
