MIRPURKHAS: Govt urged to let Benazir return

MIRPURKHAS, Nov 27: The district chapter of the People’s Party Parliamentarians at a meeting held here on Sunday demanded that the government should allow Benazir Bhutto to return to the country.

Party leader Noor Hassan Chandio presided over the meeting. Mehboob, Malik Yasin Ghori, Ishaque Narejo, Farooq Chishti, Ali Akbar Panhwar, Pershotam and Dr Saroop Chand attended the meeting.

It condemned violence against Junaid Buland, the detained SPSF leader, to pressurize him to change loyalty.

BOOKED: The Umerkot police on Sunday launched a murder case of a villager, Mohammad Rahim Shaikh, by two unidentified killers, on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Din Mohammad Shaikh.

The body of Mohammad Rahim Shaikh had been recovered two days ago near a cotton ginning factory in Dhoronaro in the Umerkot district. Initial report of post-mortem revealed torture marks on his body.
