SUKKUR, Nov 27: A search operation in the Sukkur central jail-I continued for the third consecutive day on Sunday. Operation DIG Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah and intelligence agencies supervised the operation and shifted eight prisoners to another jail.

Some differences emerged between DIG Shah and the prison DIG Major Khoso on the shifting of the prisoners belonging to the Khoso tribe.

It was learnt that the prison DIG did not want the prisoners moved.

This annoyed the operation DIG and an exchange of hot words took place between them.

Later, DIG Shah sent the prisoners under his supervision.

It was also learnt that DIG Shah has sent a report about the incident to the Sindh prison IG and other agencies.

Breach: Three villages and hundreds of acres of agricultural land came under water when 70-foot-wide breach occurred in the Masso wah near the Haroon Lund village, Khanpur Mahar taluka, on Saturday.

The affected villages are: Haroon Lund, Kamoon Gadani and Keehar Lund.

Crops of rice and other commodities were also inundated.

Villagers Abdul Karim and Allah Dino claimed that their entire households were flushed with the water.

They alleged that no official of the Sindh irrigation department reached the spot even though they had been informed on time.
