Qasim sails into last-8

KARACHI, Nov 26: Teenager Qasim Kamani, with a break of 90, handed out a 3-0 defeat to Hafeez Ghaziani to advance to the quarterfinals of Karachi Club Open snooker championship at Amir Bakhsh Billiards Hall on Friday.

Qasim carved out the break in the opening frame and wrapped up the match in style by picking the next two frames with ease.

Asim Ghani continued his victory march when he overpowered Kashif Jafrani in fully extended five frames 3-2. Asim won 51-63, 29-59, 72-65, 54-22, 75-38.

Dileep Perwani, Ahad Ali Khan, Farhan Idrees, Bharat Sitaiani and Anil Bherwani also secured berths in the last eight.
