State Life, Microsoft sign MoU

KARACHI, Nov 25: State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC) on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft to equip its policyholders with computers at an affordable cost.

SLIC chairman Kamal Afsar and Country Manager of Microsoft Jawwad Rehman signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations in a simple ceremony held at SLIC’s principal office

Briefing the newsmen after signing the MoU, the SLIC chairman said that this initiative had been taken in line with the government’s policy of spreading computer literacy in the country.

He said that both SLIC and Microsoft had been working on this ambitious and innovative project to equip policyholders with computers at an affordable cost.

He further said that the two organizations would be working together to formalize the specific details of this innovative public-private partnership to introduce quality computers with genuine Microsoft software, support and warranties to the policyholders.
