KARACHI, Nov 23: Three men, including an activist of Mohajir Qaumi Movement (Haqiqi), were shot dead in separate incidents on Wednesday morning. Police said that Muhammad Anwer, 30, was found dead in Block 10-A, Gulshan-i-Iqbal. The body with bullet wound in the head was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for postmortem.

According to the police, the victim was a resident of Liaquatabad. Police suspected that the victim was kidnapped and later shot dead by unknown persons.

In Jamshed Quarters police limits, the driver of a fire tender was killed by unidentified armed men.

Police said that Syed Wahid Ali, 40, a fireman in the city government, was going on his motorcycle when some armed men shot at him and fled. He was rushed to the Aga Khan Hospital, where he doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police said that the victim suffered five bullet wounds in the attack. A duty officer of the Jamshed Quarters police station said that the victim was reportedly a former activist of Mutthaida Qaumi Movement.

According to a senior fire officer, Wahid Ali was posted at the New Karachi Fire Station.

In Surjani Town, a middle-aged man was killed by unknown persons.

Police said that the body of Khalil Ahmed, 40, was found from outside his house in Sector 7-D. According to the family, the victim had gone out of the house early in the morning. Later, his body was found outside his house with a bullet wound in the neck. The victim’s son, Sultan, lodged an FIR against unknown persons.

ACCIDENT: A conductor of a minibus died after being crushed beneath his own vehicle in New Karachi.

Police said that Samiullah, conductor of G-17 minibus, got crushed beneath the same vehicle while the minibus was taking a sharp turn in Sector 11-D, New Karachi.
