LONDON, Nov 22: British prime minister Tony Blair issued a stern expulsion warning to fanatics posing threat to the United Kingdon, as he faced questions before a Liaison Committee of the House of Commons. Mr Blair said he would not tolerate people coming to the UK to ‘cause trouble’ or conspire to commit terrorist attacks.

Mr Blair told the Commons liaison committee that the current terror threat would “be with us for some time”.

Mr Blair said: “I can’t tell how long this threat is going to last. I think the roots of it are very, very deep. My own judgment is this has come out of a particular perversion of the true faith of Islam that goes back over several decades and it is going to take a long time to eradicate in our country and elsewhere. But in the mean time we have got to take whatever measures are necessary.”

Mr Blair said the current threat of terrorism was different to anything faced before.
