LAHORE, Nov 22: Twenty-six probables were picked for the National women’s cricket training camp to be held in Karachi from Nov 26. The probables were selected after holding open trials in Karachi and Lahore.

A final team will be selected from the probables which will represent the country in the first Asia Cup to be held in Karachi in Dec-Jan.

The probables will report to Imtiaz Ahmed, chief coach for training camp at the Regional Cricket Academy, Karachi on Nov 26.

Final trials to select the team will be held on Dec 3.

Meanwhile, Shaiza Khan has been appointed as honorary advisor of the PCB women wing for the International Cricket affairs.

Shamsa Hashmi, the secretary of the women wing, who had also been criticized for holding the post of captain of the Pakistan women team, has decided to confine herself to administrative matters and announced her retirement from playing cricket.

The PCB has recently sanctioned a huge budget of Rs 35million for the women wing.
