3 ties decided

LAHORE, Nov 22: Three matches were decided on the opening day of the Morning Dew Cup polo at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday.

Five goals each by Feroze Gulzar and Omar Asjad Malhi helped Sea Gold crush Free Lancers 14-1 1/2.

Shiraz Qureshi and Tariq Hashim added two goals each for the winners.

For the losers, who had a half gold handicap, the solitary goal was scored by Azhar Ali. A half-goal handicap helped Mixed Bag beat Guard Rice 4 1/2-4 in the second match of the day.

For the winners, Saeed Aslam (2), Talha Saeed, and Irfan Ali Hyder scored one goal each. For the losers, Maula Baksh scored three goals while Junaid Ahmed added one.

Guard Rice toppled Dew Drops 3 goals to half goals. Umar Sadik, Aurangzeb Monnoo and Taimur Malik scored a goal each.
