Ms Howard meets Sehba

ISLAMABAD, Nov 22: Janette Howard, wife of Australian prime minister, called on First Lady Begum Sehba Musharraf and expressed Australia’s solidarity with Pakistan in the wake of last month’s earthquake catastrophe.

Ms Howard said Australian people had been deeply touched by the tragedy which had affected millions of people.

“We share the grief of the quake victims and stand with Pakistan in this hour of trial,” she said.

Begum Sehba Musharraf thanked Ms Howard for Australia’s expression of support and informed her about the all-out efforts launched to mitigate the sufferings of quake-afflicted people.—APP
