Man kills wife over trifle

GUJRANWALA, Nov 21: A man killed his wife over a trifle in Nizamabad, Wazirabad on Monday. Reports said Farzana Bibi, the mother of three children, quarrelled with her husband Shehzad Ahmad over expenses. He got infuriated and opened fire, killing her on the spot. Police have registered a case

PROTEST: Transporters of Aimanabad and Wahando areas have protested against the highway police for allegedly harassing them on various pretexts.

At a meeting held here on Monday presided over by ‘adda’ manager Chaudhry Dilnawaz Ahmad Khan, the participants said the police checked their vehicles, humiliated them and allegedly received bribe on various pretexts.

They have threatened to go on strike if the highway police officials are not taken to task.
