SIALKOT, Nov 21: The first cargo flight will takeoff from the under-construction airport next year while regular passengers flights by the year-end. Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) chairman Babar Iqbal told journalists here on Monday the construction of Pakistan’s first private sector’s mega project was briskly underway.

He hoped that the timely completion of this airport would open new vistas of socio-economic development in Sialkot, Gujrat and Gujranwala districts.

Mr Iqbal said the SIAL would soon launch share for public to ensure the timely completion of the project.

pension: The widow of an army official has become a rolling stone between the post offices in Noor Kot, Shakargarh, and Narowal.

Abdul Ghani died nine months ago. About five months ago, his widow Rasheeda submitted an application at Narowal GPO’s pension branch for the transfer of her husband’s pension to her account. Since then she has been running between Shakargarh and Narowal but to no avail.

Rasheeda has appealed to the Punjab governor and chief minister to take notice of this nasty situation as she was dependent only on the pension of her husband.
