KARACHI: Sabzimandi problems discussed


KARACHI, Nov 21: The matters relating to new Sabzi Mandi at Super Highway and problems thereof came under consideration at a meeting held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman on Monday. It was decided that effective steps would be taken for resolving the issues as per rules and regulations. The auction system would be streamlined as provided under the law and best possible strategy would be adopted with regard to water supply, sewerage and sanitation.

The meeting decided that KESC would take measures to update power billing as per its use. As such the shopkeepers at Sabzi Mandi would be provided individual meters to help solve the problem of excessive billings.

The KWSB was asked to take coordinated measures for improved water supply and sewerage.

The meeting was attended by Agriculture Secretary Nazar Hussain Mahar, Finance Secretary Malik Israr, General Administration Secretary Abdul Qadir Mangi, KWSB MD and other officials. —APP
