KARACHI, Nov 21: The adviser to the chief minister on finance, M.A. Jalil, has ordered release of Rs17 million to the 17 new taluka municipal administrations for development works. He was presiding over a meeting, which was attended, besides the elected nazims, by Local Bodies Adviser Waseem Akhtar, secretaries on finance and local bodies Malik Asrar and Ishaq Lashari and additional secretaries Saleh Farooqui and Kazi Kabir.

Mr Jalil said that the duty of the TMAs was to serve the people and his department would extend necessary facility they needed in this regard. The minister greeted the elected nazims and urged them to serve the masses.

He said if the people of Sindh prospered, a better image of the province would emerge.
