KARACHI, Nov 21: Improvement in the existing corporate culture of Saarc countries would be one of the issues to be discussed at the two-day South Asian management forum (SAMF) being held on December 9-10 in Karachi.
A press release by the Nutshell Forum, organizer of the conference, stated that the aim of the conference was to carryout an in-depth discussion on issues, such as strategic leadership, technology and globalization in South Asian region’s perspective.
Speakers from India, Malaysia, Singapore, the US, Canada, the UK, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh would join their counterparts in Pakistan to deliberate and give their expert views during different technical sessions at the conference, the press release stated.
“Speakers will emphasize management challenges the corporate world faces in this age of high technology and globalization.” It said that major organizations of regions, such as South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA), British Council, Rotary International, Pakistan Soft Ware House Association and Franklin Covey (South Asia), had already endorsed the SAMF 2005.
“The ongoing process of globalization and post-WTO economic scenario provides an excellent opportunity to corporate leaders of South Asia to utilize their unexplored natural and human resources for optimizing their productivity and playing significant role in re-designing and reshaping future global economy,” Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, CEO, Nutshell Forum, was quoted to have said.
