ISLAMABAD, Nov 19: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has commended the role played by the international community, especially the UN, US and Saudi Arabia for pledging assistance at the donors’ conference. President Musharraf hosted a luncheon in honour of the conference’s participants at the Awan-i-Sadr on Saturday.
The president said: “It will be remiss if I do not single out some countries which have been very generous. I will like to pinpoint US and Saudi Arabia for pledging more than $500 million each. We are extremely grateful to them.”—APP
